Vilas do Atlantico

It's all within walking distance (10 min) or by car (2 min). But honestly, any place you choose to stay will be pleasant. Live music is playing on the weekend in some of the restaurants. The dress code is swimming suits and flip-flops. There is no need to take anything on you but sunscreen, a hat, and a towel. The restaurants are equipped with showers, bathrooms, chairs, tables, full menu. You will find many vendors on the beach and you can buy pretty much everything. These are some ideas for restaurants (barracas) but there are plenty for you to choose from. Have fun.

If you like walking by the beach from Vilas do Atlantico to Stella Maris will take you around 1h45. By car will only take 25 min. It would be worth it either way. Here are some examples we took from our favorite places. Check online to see when surfing competitions are being held at Stella Maris. Most of the places have live music and great cuisine. Please, follow up with each one of the bands on schedule on Instagram or Google. You can make a reservation, but most places run on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is usually off the street. Be prepared with some cash to pay off the "guardador de carros" or the car keeper. You don't need to overpay them, anywhere between R$2-5 reais will do it.
